Ormskirk is our fifth studio and opened in July 2025, offering baby, family and pet portrait photography.
Colby Robinson, who runs the studio, has recently returned from Dubai where he lived with his family for seven years and worked as a photography trainer with Apple. Colby has extensive experience in photography having also worked in Switzerland and Singapore, and in many areas of the industry – from weddings and commercial photography to sports, events and portrait studios.
Colby says “The area I love best is portrait photography. Telling people’s stories through a portrait is a privilege and documenting families’ special moments feels like the perfect career path for me. Being part of the growing team at Barrett & Coe, while running the Ormskirk studio is an exciting opportunity and the location is fabulous”.
Ormskirk is an historic market town with roots dating back to the medieval times. The studio is in Unit G5, which was once the old furnace, used to dry malt.
Just a stone’s throw from the town centre, there is a bar and café on site and there is plenty to do in the area. It’s easy to grab a bite to eat after your session and for a fun family day out, Adventure Coast Southport is less than a 20-minute drive away, and the city of Liverpool is just 30 minutes by car.
